Understanding Beat Licenses

What each license lets you do — and what it doesn't

MP3 Lease

The cheapest option. You get a 320kbps MP3 file for up to 100,000 streams and 10,000 downloads across all platforms (Spotify, Apple, SoundCloud, YouTube). You must credit the producer in your song title ("Song Name (prod. Producer Name)").

WAV Lease

Higher audio quality + higher stream cap (500,000). Lets you submit to radio and sync opportunities. Also non-exclusive. Best if you're serious about a release or expect real streaming numbers.

Exclusive License

Only YOU can use this beat. The producer removes it from the store. Unlimited streams, unlimited downloads, full commercial rights. Still need to credit producer. Best for major releases or signature songs.

Full Buyout

The "master rights" option. You own the beat outright — stems included, no credit required, can even re-sell it. The producer can't use it again. Only makes sense for industry placements or film/TV work.

Important: about lease limits

If your lease hits its stream cap, you need to upgrade to a higher license or an exclusive. Don't buy MP3 leases for songs you expect to blow up — pay for WAV or Exclusive upfront.
