How to message, negotiate, and request custom beats

Starting a conversation

Any beat page has a "Message Producer" option. Introduce yourself — what kind of artist you are, what you're looking for, and what you like about their catalog. Generic "hey" messages get ignored.

Negotiating a deal

Producers can send you custom deal proposals via the messaging system. If you want a discount on an exclusive, or stems added to a lease, just ask. Most producers would rather sell at 80% than not sell at all.

Custom beat requests

Some producers accept custom beats — beats made specifically for you based on a brief (reference tracks, BPM, vibe). Expect to pay more than a catalog beat, but you get something no one else has.

Producer credit etiquette

Always credit producers properly. "(prod. ProducerName)" in your song title on DSPs. Tag them when you post. Good relationships lead to discounts, early access, and collabs down the line.
